It’s that time of year again! It’s time to register for the 2022 FTBA Annual Convention! This fun filled weekend is always highly anticipated by our membership and we don’t want you to miss out on all that we have planned. Join us at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island from August 4th through the 7th for our “Stronger Together” Annual Convention!
Online Early Bird Registration Fees: Early Bird Member Registration – $775 Early Bird Member Guest Registration – $525 Early Bird Non-Member Registration – $1,000 Children 5 to 12 – $300 Friday Awards Breakfast – $125 Early Bird Prices end June 15th!
Online Registration Fees after June 15th: Member Registration after June 15th – $875 Member Guest Registration after June 15th – $625 Non-Member Registration after June 15th – $1,100 Children 5 to 12 after June 15th – $325 Friday Awards Breakfast – $125
The online registration window closes on July 13th at midnight.
On-Site Registration Fees: Member Registration – $925 Member Guest Registration – $675 Non-Member Registration – $1,150 Children 5 to 12 – $350 Friday Awards Breakfast - $150
Refund Policy: Full registration refunds will be given until June 15th. 50% registration refunds will be given until July 21st. Following July 21st, no refunds will be allowed. Activity fees are non-refundable. We will be offering the following activities during the convention for an additional fee. You will need to purchase the activity when checking out in order to pay for your spot. These activity fees are non-refundable.
Golf Tournament: Saturday Morning – $275 Will be held onsite at the hotel with a shotgun start. Breakfast and 2 drink tickets included. Pairing requests can be made on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed. Once this event is full, you can be placed on a waiting list by contacting Stacy Heidel at SHeidel@ftba.com.
Fishing Tournament: Saturday Morning – $425 Offsite coastal/backwater fishing. Shuttle and breakfast included. Pairing requests can be made on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed. We are limited to 4 people per boat. Once this event is full, you can be placed on a waiting list by contacting Stacy Heidel at SHeidel@ftba.com.
Your hotel room is NOT INCLUDED in your registration. In an effort to save rooms for registered attendees, the hotel room block will only be provided once you have completed registration. Rooms will be limited based upon the number of registered guests in your party, with a 2 room maximum per registration. You must reserve rooms under the event attendee’s name. Non-registered guests will be removed from the block. If you are not attending the full convention, please make your reservation at the overflow hotel.
The FTBA room blocks are sold out. You can reserve rooms directly through the overflow hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott, Amelia Island by clicking here. There will be shuttles running continuously between the Residence Inn and Ritz-Carlton during our event for the convenience of attendees.
*Please note that it is NOT recommended to book your hotel room through a third-party company. In the past, we’ve received complaints about a company calling members to book rooms. No one from the hotel will call you to solicit room reservations. We cannot guarantee placement for members who book through a third-party.*

Pricing is as follows: Safety Award Plaque - $105 Safety Excellence Award - $165 DBE Glass Award - $185 Large Best in Construction Plaque - $245 (members) / $285 (non-members) Small Best in Construction Plaque - $215 (members) / $235 (non-members) Award Certificate - Free
Safety Award requirements: • Less than 150,000 man-hours with no lost-time injuries, or • Between 150,000 and 250,000 man-hours with no more than 1 lost-time injury, or • Over 250,000 man-hours with less than 1 lost-time accident per full increment of 250,000 man-hours worked
Safety Awards are only given once per company. The requirements must be verified based on the company's Jan.-Dec. 2021 OSHA log. Members can complete the application and provide a copy of their OSHA 300A Log here.
Safety Excellence Awards (NEW for 2022!): Safety Excellence Awards are meant to highlight our member companies with the top safety programs. These awards are divided into three groups based upon manhours worked in the previous year. We would like to thank the judges who helped in the selection process. Congratulations to the Safety Excellence Award winners!

DBE Award requirement: The DBE Award is given in recognition for meeting or exceeding the FDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for the 2020-2021 federal fiscal year. If your company qualifies for this award, an email will be sent to the main contact for your company. 2022 DBE Award winners can be viewed here!
Best in Construction Awards: The Best in Construction awards are meant to highlight those companies and individuals who worked on the most innovative, complex, and impactful projects around the state each year. Congratulations to those who have been selected as the "Best in Construction" for 2022. We would like to thank those at FDOT who helped in the selection process. We always enjoy partnering with FDOT in recognizing the hard work and effort of our members.
Best in Construction Winners can be viewed here! Award shipping: Your company will be acknowledged for their award at the FTBA Convention Awards Breakfast on August 5th. Best in Construction plaques will be handed out in person during the ceremony while DBE and Safety Awards will be shipped directly to your company from the award shop. Shipping charges have already been factored into pricing. Please make sure the shipping address that you enter is where you want your award to go. You can register to attend the August 5th Awards Breakfast here. The charge is $125 per person.

The silent auction has always been a hit in the past and is a convention favorite for all those FTBA members who enjoy a little friendly competition. We are currently seeking items with a minimum value of $25 to be auctioned off. If you are interested in donating an item please return the donation form to Cynthia Hartsfield at CHartsfield@ftba.com. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the FTBA Office.
Don't forget, your company receives credit towards their TransPAC contribution total for any donated items!
All auction donation forms, and a picture of your item (if possible) are due by July 27th. Please have all donated items sent to the FTBA office by July 27th, or bring the item to the convention registration desk when checking-in.
