It’s that time of year again! It’s time to register for the 2021 FTBA Annual Convention! This fun filled weekend is always highly anticipated by our membership and we don’t want you to miss out on all that we have planned. Join us at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes from August 5th through the 8th for our “Rediscover & Refocus” Annual Convention!
The FTBA staff have been in contact with The Ritz-Carlton, and we feel confident that we can partner together in providing our attendees with a safe and enjoyable experience. We will be following Orange County and the hotel guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing. Online Early Bird Registration Fees: Early Bird Member Registration – $750 Early Bird Member Guest Registration – $500 Early Bird Non-Member Registration – $975 Children 5 to 12 – $300 Friday Morning Breakfast Only– $100 Early Bird Prices end June 15th!
Online Registration Fees after June 15th: Member Registration after June 15th – $850 Member Guest Registration after June 15th – $600 Non-Member Registration after June 15th – $1,075 Children 5 to 12 after June 15th – $325
The online registration window closes on July 13th at midnight.
On-Site Registration Fees: Member Registration – $900 Member Guest Registration – $650 Non-Member Registration – $1,125 Children 5 to 12 – $325
Refund Policy: Full registration refunds will be given until June 15th. 50% registration refunds will be given until July 22nd. Following July 22nd, no refunds will be allowed. Activity fees are non-refundable. The following activities are offered during the convention for an additional fee. You will need to purchase the activity when checking out in order to pay for your spot.
Golf Tournament: Saturday Morning– $250 Will be held onsite at the hotel with a shotgun start. Breakfast and 2 drink tickets included. Pairing requests can be made on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed. Once this event is full, you can be placed on a waiting list by contacting Stacy Heidel at SHeidel@ftba.com.
Fishing Tournament: Saturday Morning– $400 Offsite bass fishing at Lake Toho in Kissimmee. Shuttle and breakfast included. Pairing requests can be made on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed. We are limited to 2 people per boat. All participants are required to have a current Florida fishing license. Licenses can be purchased online here or by calling 888-FISH-FLORIDA. Once this event is full, you can be placed on a waiting list by contacting Stacy Heidel at SHeidel@ftba.com.
The FTBA Convention room block at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes is currently full. If you have any rooms that you need to cancel, please contact Stacy Heidel directly before contacting the hotel. We would be happy to transfer your room into the name of another FTBA member who is on our waiting list.
*Please note that it is NOT recommended to book your hotel room through a third party company. In the past, we’ve received complaints about a company calling members to book rooms. No one from the hotel will call you to solicit room reservations. We cannot guarantee placement for members who book though a third party.*

Pricing is as follows: Safety Award Plaque - $103 DBE Glass Award - $176 Large Best in Construction Plaque - $237 (members) / $279 (non-members) Small Best in Construction Plaque - $201 (members) / $227 (non-members) Award Certificate - Free
Safety Award requirements: • Less than 150,000 man-hours with no lost-time injuries, or • Between 150,000 and 250,000 man-hours with no more than 1 lost-time injury, or • Over 250,000 man-hours with less than 1 lost-time accident per full increment of 250,000 man-hours worked
Safety Awards are only given once per company. The requirements must be verified based on the company's Jan.-Dec. 2020 OSHA log. Members can complete the application and provide a copy of their OSHA 300A Log here.

DBE requirement: The DBE Award is given in recognition for meeting or exceeding the FDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for the 2019-2020 federal fiscal year. If your company qualifies for this award, an email will be sent to the main contact for your company. You can view the list of DBE Award winners here.
Best in Construction Awards: The Best in Construction awards are meant to highlight those companies and individuals who worked on the most innovative, complex, and impactful projects around the state each year. Congratulations to those who have been selected as the "Best in Construction" for 2021. We would like to thank those at FDOT who helped in the selection process. We always enjoy partnering with FDOT in recognizing the hard work and effort of our members.
You can view the list of Best in Construction Award winners here. Award shipping: Your company will be acknowledged for their award at the FTBA Convention Awards Breakfast on August 6th. Best in Construction plaques will be handed out in person during the ceremony while DBE and Safety Awards will be shipped directly to your company from the award shop. Shipping charges have already been factored into pricing. Please make sure the shipping address that you enter is where you want your award to go. Registration for the Awards Breakfast will open soon!

The silent auction has always been a hit in the past and is a convention favorite for all those FTBA members who enjoy a little friendly competition. We are currently seeking items with a minimum value of $25 to be auctioned off. If you are interested in donating an item please return the donation form to Cynthia Hartsfield at CHartsfield@ftba.com. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the FTBA Office.
Don't forget, your company receives credit towards their TransPAC contribution total for any donated items!
All auction donation forms, and a picture of your item (if possible) are due by July 26th. Please have all donated items sent to the FTBA office by July 26th, or bring the item to the convention registration desk when checking-in.
