It’s that time of year again! It’s time to register for the 2019 FTBA Annual Convention! This fun filled weekend is always highly anticipated by our membership and we don’t want you to miss out on all that we have planned. Join us at The JW Marriot Marco Island Beach Resort from August 8th through the 11th for our best Convention yet. We can’t wait to see you there!

Early Bird Member Registration – $590

Refund Policy: Full registration refunds will be given until June 17th. 50% registration refunds will be given until July 24th. Following July 24th, no refunds will be allowed. Activity fees are non-refundable.
We will be offering the following activities during the convention for an additional fee. You will need to purchase the activity when checking out in order to pay for your spot.
Additional Activities:
Tennis Tournament: Friday afternoon – $40
Will be held offsite at Hammock Bay Golf and Country Club starting at 2:00 PM. A hotel shuttle bus will be available for transportation.

Golf Tournament: Saturday at 7:30 AM – $250

Will be held offsite at Hammock Bay Golf and Country Club with a shotgun start. Shuttle bus transportation will be provided. Includes breakfast and 2 drink tickets. Pairing requests can be made on the registration form. Requests cannot be guaranteed.

Fishing Tournament: Saturday at 7:30 AM – $325

Offsite backwater flats fishing. Limit 4 people per boat. Buses and breakfast included. Contact Jay Burleson (Jay@ftba.com) with questions or to request fishing pairing. Requests cannot be guaranteed.

Your hotel room is NOT INCLUDED in your registration. Book your hotel reservations by clicking here or call 1-239-394-2511. Rooms start as low as $259 per night. Our hotel block tends to fill up quickly, so reserve your space today!
*Please note that it is NOT recommended to book your hotel room through a third party company. In the past, we’ve received complaints about a company calling members to book rooms. No one from the JW Marriot or FTBA will call you to solicit room reservations. We cannot guarantee placement for members who book though a third party.

Awards Orders

We're currently accepting orders for FTBA Safety Award Plaques, DBE Glass Awards, & Best in Construction Shadowboxes.

You can place your orders here using our online ordering system! Our online store will allow you to order all of your awards on one site. You can review your items and check out with one transaction using a "shopping cart" at the end. If you choose not to order an award, we would be happy to provide your company with an award certificate, which can be ordered using the same site.

Pricing is as follows:
Safety Award Plaque - $100
DBE Glass Award - $170
Large Best in Construction Plaque - $230 (members) / $270 (non-members)
Small Best in Construction Plaque - $195 (members) / $220 (non-members)
Award Certificate - Free

Safety Award requirements:
- Less than 150,000 man-hours with no lost-time injuries, or
- Between 150,000 and 250,000 man-hours with no more than 1 lost-time injury, or
- Over 250,000 man-hours with less than 1 lost-time accident per full increment of 250,000 man-hours worked

Safety Awards are only given once per company. The requirements must be verified based on the company's Jan.-Dec. 2018 OSHA log. Provide a copy of your OSHA 300A Log to Cynthia Hartsfield at CHartsfield@ftba.com.

DBE requirement:
The DBE Award is given in recognition for meeting or exceeding the FDOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Utilization Goal for the 2017-2018 federal fiscal year. If your company qualifies for this award, an email will be sent to the main contact for your company.

Best in Construction Awards:
The Best in Construction awards are meant to highlight those companies and individuals who worked on the most innovative, complex, and impactful projects around the state each year. Congratulations to those who have been selected as the "Best in Construction" for 2019. We would like to thank those at FDOT who helped in the selection process. We always enjoy partnering with FDOT in recognizing the hard work and effort of our members.

Award shipping:
Your company will be acknowledged for their award at the FTBA Convention Awards Breakfast on August 9th. Best in Construction plaques will be handed out in person during the ceremony while DBE and Safety Awards will be shipped directly to your company from the award shop. Shipping charges have already been factored into pricing. Please make sure the shipping address that you enter is where you want your award to go.You can register to attend the August 9th Awards Breakfast here. The charge is $75 per person.

Silent Auction

The silent auction has always been a hit in the past, and is a convention favorite for all those FTBA members who enjoy a little friendly competition. We are currently seeking items with a minimum value of $25 to be auctioned off. If you are interested in donating an item please return the donation form to Cynthia Hartsfield at CHartsfield@ftba.com. If you have questions please feel free to contact the FTBA Office.

Don't forget, your company receives credit towards their TransPAC contribution total for any donated items!

All auction donation forms and a picture of your item (if possible) are due by July 22nd. Please have all donated items sent to the FTBA office by July 26th, or bring the item to the convention registration desk when checking-in.
